Basic PMP® Exam Pre-Requisites

To be eligible for the Project Management Institute (PMI)® Project Management Professional (PMP)® exam, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • If you have a secondary degree (high school diploma, associate degree, or a global equivalent):

    1. 35 hours of project management training

    2. Minimum of 7,500 hours of experience leading and directing projects

 

  • If you have a four-year degree or higher (or global equivalent):

    1. 35 hours of project management training

    2. Minimum of 4,500 hours of experience leading and directing projects
